MILLION $ MANO (Chicago)

The word "juke" has been around since Jim Crow was keeping the fun out of everything (and not just the clubs), but it's current resonance in dance culture might just come from one of Million $ Mano's remixes. As in "I don't know how he did it, but dude just juked the shit out of it". It's like reacting to Iverson cross over Jordan...there's a certain contortion of one's face and a tendency to scrunch up favourably into the fetal position...possibly followed by a slow, drawn out, daaaaaaaamn" or even a "shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii-iiiiiiiiiiiit" like one was channeling Clay Davis of The Wire.
Chicago-bred super-producer and the DJ extraordinaire wonder-kid, Million Dollar Mano, has been killing Chicago mainstream nightclubs and hipster/scenster depots for over three years. His music is inarguably the most exciting thing going on in Chicago right now…hands down. His musical selections are wide and varied; ranging from Hip Hop to indie Rock and most definitely Dance and Electro.- Laced Magazine
